Children had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day this week and took part in lots of fun activities relating to stories. An author visited children at the upper site.
The children had a wonderful time sharing stories, dressing up and completing a variety of activities such as designing their own book covers.
The amazing author Joshua Seigal, visited the school and gave an assembly to the upper site children and a poetry workshop to Year 6. We have booked another author, the talented Hannah Peckham, and she is coming to see the lower site children on Friday 25th April.
During the poetry workshop the children were asked to choose to write a thing about themselves within 4 categories; food, hobbies, memories and what makes them unique the results are fantastic. The children got really creative. You can find out more about Joshua via this link -Joshua Seigal | Poems | I Don't Like Poetry.
