Year 3 Police Visit

Year 3 were lucky to receive an exciting visit from the police this week.
The year 3 team want to say a big thank you to the parent (and their colleague) who visited the school this week to talk to the children about what it's like being a police officer and what they do in an emergency situation.
The highlight for many was getting to sit inside the police car and police van. It was fascinating to see the different vehicles. The police even showed the children how they might arrest somebody and put Miss Humphries under arrest!
The police officers talked all about why they wear the uniform they do and the types of things they support the community with. The children thought of very curious and interesting questions to ask. I think it is clear to say that the adults learnt lots too! They answered the children's questions, and it was a really engaging and enjoyable experience.
Thank you so much to the parent that volunteered to come in, the children really enjoyed this opportunity. The children were so respectful to the visitors. What an amazing experience.
