New mascot competition

One of our children won runner-up of the Road Safety Mascot Competition.

In November, we enjoyed a special assembly from Volker Highways (West Sussex) as part of National Road Safety Week.
The children learnt some really important messages about how to stay safe near roads and why road safety matters for everyone.

They were then invited to take part in an exciting competition to create a new friend for Kerby, the road safety mascot (as seen in the photo!).
They had to design a new highways-themed mascot (e.g. based on road signs, crossings, vehicles, etc.), give them a name and describe what the mascot does to help keep people safe.

These are the incredible entries we received. Well done to all of the children who took the time to create a mascot. The mascots are all so creative!

We are very proud to announce Emily's entry won runner-up in the mascot competition with Lionel, Keeping Drivers in Line!
