This week, our talented year 3-4 mixed cricket team went to Blackstone Academy ground for the Sussex County Final. We qualified for this event by coming first place in our Crawley district round which earned us the right to face the other district winners from all over Sussex including, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, Mid-Sussex, Horsham, Crawley and Hastings.

I am delighted to report that we won the competition, beating Barnham School in the final 96 runs to 47. If you add up all the schools that entered each district round, there are over 100 schools in total which makes our victory even more triumphant. We lost our first group game to Harlands but went on a perfect run from then, winning five games in a row!

A special shoutout to our Year 5-6 Cricket team who also had the same event on Monday for their age group. They reached the Quarter-final stage of their County final and narrowly lost to Barnham school 92-91 in a match that could have gone either way.
